about

This album was the point when Eat Your Neighbors hit its stride. That said, its stride rather resembled a broken-hipped Tasmanian devil drunkenly doing The Macarena. While the first album showcased a string of songs written independently, this album highlights music that emerged from a year of constantly performing together, touring together, living together, bathing together, attending fringe cult meetings together, time traveling together, and reciting french poetry together.

With Reset, we weren't afraid of getting weird with the tones, creating a blistering guitar sound that we lovingly dubbed the "Laser paper cuts" sound. Our producer, Drew Mazurek, still has it as a preset, so I'm told.

Also of note, the alternate title for this album was "Pretentious Song Titles".
